Meyer Genealogy Sources
The only easily accessible records for the Saale valley villages are church book duplicates microfilmed by the LSD church. They are limited to the right bank, former Saxe-Altenburg, the left bank being in Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach. They cover the period from 1809 to 1875. Civil registration started in 1876.
